Women’s Fund Awards $25,000 in Grants

Funding focuses on addressing unmet needs of women, girls

The Women’s Fund at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) granted $25,000 to area nonprofits during its 7th annual grant reception on June 13th. The Foundation’s Women’s Fund focuses its grant making efforts on addressing the unmet needs of women and girls in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties.

“Our Women’s Fund allows a group of likeminded people to make a charitable impact on causes that matter to them,” states Erica Joseph, CFES President. “These grants will assist those less fortunate, help create strong women, and continue a tradition of giving in our community.”

The Women’s Fund of the Eastern Shore was created through the power of collective philanthropy. Members work together to help change the lives of local women and girls by pooling financial resources in hopes of developing strong, self-sufficient women, and positive change in the local community.
