The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore announces the final deadline for local nonprofit organizations to submit applications in the first round of funding for the semi-annual 2017 Community Needs Grants Program is Wednesday, February 1st.
Grant applications are encouraged from organizations serving Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties. Individual maximum grants are $5,000 with a total budget of $118,000 in grant awards available. Applicants must be 501c3 nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations providing non-sectarian programs, or eligible programs within government agencies.
Grants are awarded to a wide range of nonprofit organizations including, but not limited to those that serve health and human services, education, arts and culture, community development, environment and historic preservation.
