CRICKET Center will increase child advocacy with nonprofit partner fund

Worcester County’s CRICKET Center recently established a Nonprofit Partner Fund with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. The $12,000 investment will create an endowment to provide for the organization’s work as the Worcester County Child Advocacy Center. The nonprofit works in combating child abuse, providing resources to minimize trauma to child victims, and facilitating medical and mental health services.

“With the Lower Shore ranking worst in the state for child abuse, the CRICKET Center’s services to the children of Worcester County is more vital than ever before,” says Erica Joseph, President of CFES. “We are proud to support their mission through our endowment fund partnership.”

The CRICKET Center joins more than 80 other local nonprofit organizations that have established funds at CFES. As philanthropic partners, the two organizations will continue working together to support the needs of the communities they serve. Annually, Nonprofit Partner Funds at The Community Foundation distribute over $600,000 to assist with pressing community needs.
