Community Foundation Hosts Grants Interest Meeting

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) will be conducting a grants interest meeting for local nonprofit representatives on July 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Community Foundation offices, 1324 Belmont Avenue Suite 401 in Salisbury. Community Foundation staff will be available to answer questions regarding the review of program guidelines and the application format for the Community Needs Program. In addition, the submission of proposals will be discussed.

The Community Needs Program provides financial support for charitable programs that benefit the residents of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to nonprofit, government and faith-based programs.

The next deadline for applications for the Community Needs Grant Program is August 1st and funds will be awarded in October 2015. For more information, please contact Heather Towers, CFES Program Officer at 410-742-9911, or visit the CFES website at www.cfes.org.

Gifts to the Community Foundation, a public charity, create permanent endowment funds that steadily grow in value over time and produce income for grants to local charitable nonprofit organizations.
