Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore presented their 30th Anniversary Pearls of Service Award to the MAC, Inc. June board of directors meeting at Delmarva Community Services.
Surrounding the Community Foundation’s 30th Anniversary, the Foundation created the Pearls of Service Award to celebrate, reward and encourage outstanding achievement in the charitable sector.
In May, the Community Foundation presented the Pearls of Service Awards to Peggy Bradford, Executive Director, MAC, Inc. during the Community Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Gala. In addition, the Foundation honored Diakonia, Inc. and the Seton Center with Pearls of Service Awards.
These three charitable organizations were honored for their service to Somerset, Wicomico and/or Worcester Counties. Each organization had received one or more grants from the Community Foundation and has been notably effective in using that support. In addition, the organizations have demonstrated continued efficacy in meeting critical community human service needs. Each nonprofit received an award and a $10,000 grant designated to benefit their agency endowment fund at the Community Foundation.
