The Sinepuxent Lodge #193 AF&AM contributed $22,338 to establish the Billie R. Laws Masonic Scholarship. This scholarship will benefit graduates from Snow Hill and Pocomoke High Schools.
According to Charlie McWilliams, Sinepuxent Lodge representative, “Billie Laws was a long time member and lifetime advocate of the Masons. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to create this permanent legacy in his memory.”
The Masonic Lodge in Snow Hill was chartered in 1893 and has been serving the community ever since. Local Masons have a long tradition of quietly working behind the scenes, “to support our community and country.” The Masons in Snow Hill also make an annual award to a graduating senior of Snow Hill High School through another Community Foundation endowment, the Sinepuxent Lodge 193 AF & AM & Worcester Chapter #102, Order of the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund.
