Software Transition

This page will provide updates on the software transition occurring at the Foundation.


We are excided to announce a change and major upgrade to the software platform used at the Community Foundation.  Since 1998 we have used software called FIMS, which has been used by most Community Foundations.  Beginning in July 2022 we will transition to Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge, along with additional tools from NPact.


In order to transition, we will have a two-week period without access to either old or new software package.  This means that we will not be able to issue grant checks, record donor gifts, or provide online access to funds via DonorCentral. Currently this period is scheduled for July 15 through July 30.  Donor advisors or nonprofits with a fund should plan to make any requests for grant distributions prior to July 1, 2022.  Otherwise, requests will be delayed until August 2022.
