Software Transition

This page will provide updates on the software transition occurring at the Foundation.

Background

We are excided to announce a change and major upgrade to the software platform used at the Community Foundation.  Since 1998 we have used software called FIMS, which has been used by most Community Foundations.  Beginning in August 2022 we will transition to Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge, along with additional tools from NPact.

 

While the outcome will be enhanced services for fund holders and greater efficiency for CFES operations, there will be a period of transition. 


What is the current status?

 

Fund Holders – We have resumed normal grantmaking. Access to fund information online will be provided in October. In the interim, until the new online system is in place, please email any grant requests to donorservices@cfes.org.

Donors – Contributions can be made to CFES at any time. We plan to resume confirming receipt of donations in early September.

 

Scholarship and Grant Recipients – We have resumed issuing checks.

As we go through this important upgrade to our systems, please know that our commitment to you remains the same.
