Jennifer Owens has joined the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore as Office Coordinator. Jennifer will lead the Foundation’s front-facing operations, customer service, meeting and conference coordination, and will offer executive office support. Jennifer’s hire comes after the retirement of Patt Strausburg in early April after 17 years of service to the Foundation.
“We are excited to have Jennifer join the Community Foundation” says Erica Joseph, CFES President. “Her background in the nonprofit industry and business administration, coupled with her strong communication skills make her a perfect fit for this role.”
Jennifer’s professional experience includes five years spent with the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake where she quickly advanced in a variety of roles, as well as time spent as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, sourcing analysist, and office manager, amongst other roles in her career. Jennifer will be the first point of contact to community members calling or visiting the Foundation offices.
“I am excited to join a team that makes such a great impact on our local team,” says Owens. “While integrating into a new role in the midst of a pandemic has been interesting, the CFES team has been welcoming and has worked to swiftly onboard me into their current remote operation.”
