The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is proud to be one of 30 community foundations selected to participate in The Community Experience Partnership. This initiative of The Atlantic Philanthropies aims to invest in community foundations to unleash the potential of millions of baby boomers as they enter their sixties.
By leveraging the established network of U.S. community foundations and the experience of other grantees, The Atlantic Philanthropies seeks to engage older Americans in the work of community improvement and social change. Presenting a unique leadership opportunity for progressive community foundations, the Community Experience Partnership initiative will help these organizations lead the charge in deploying the resources of boomer experience for the good of their communities.
Through a local partnership with BEACON at Salisbury University and MAC, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, CFES has completed the Community Assessment Phase of this initiative. Future phases of the program are expected to be announced by The Atlantic Philanthropies in Fall 2007.
