Summer 2008 Nonprofit Training and Networking Support

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) has announced training opportunities available to local nonprofits during Summer 2008. All training sessions will be held at the Community Foundation’s Eastern Shore Nonprofit Support Center.

Registrations are now being accepted from staff members of nonprofit organizations in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester County for:

Information Session on 2009 Grant Programs - Wednesday, June 25th from 9-11:00 am
Grantmakers Panel-Wednesday, July 16th from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon
Introduction to Corporate Giving-Wednesday, August 20th from 9-11:00 am

All seminars are free, but registration is required, as space is limited. The Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Programs are focused on providing services and resources to enhance the capacity of nonprofit organizations in the region through technical assistance, professional development, and continuing education.

These programs are offered in partnership with the Foundation Center’s Cooperating Collection, located in the Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Resource Center. Through this collection, nonprofit organizations have access to a variety of print materials as well as the Foundation Directory online, with access to over 92,000 grantmakers nationwide.

The Community Foundation will continue Nonprofit Networking Lunches and Leadership Academy workshops in the Fall 2008.
