ShoreCAN Recognizes Deer's Head Hospital Center Volunteers

Erica Joseph, (left), Program Officer for the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, recently presented a ShoreCAN Volunteer Leadership Award to the Deer's Head Hospital Center during the organization's 2010 volunteer appreciation luncheon. In 2009 a total of 140 volunteers contributed 19,307 hours in support of the Center. Pictured accepting the award are: Helen Young, (center), Volunteer Services Coordinator, and Sandy Smith, (right), Executive Director. The ShoreCAN Volunteer Center is sponsored by the Community Foundation and promotes volunteerism on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
