Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Nonprofit Office Center Opening
April 28, 2010
Members of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation and nonprofit occupants officially open the Eastern Shore Nonprofit Office Center on April 28th.  The new suite of offices will be the home of six local nonprofit organizations and is located in the Community Foundation's building in the East Park Professional Center in Salisbury.  Nonprofits located at the new office center include: Women Supporting Women; Del-Mar-Va Council Boy Scouts of America; the Delmarva Water Transport Committee; Delmarva Low Impact Toursim Experiences; the Maryland Mentoring Partnership and the Delmarva Education Foundation.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s new Nonprofit Office Center during the Salisbury Area Chamber Business After Hours event hosted by the Foundation on Wednesday, April 28th.
 
The ribbon-cutting was held at the Community Foundation's Eastern Shore Nonprofit Support Center located in the East Park Professional Center in Salisbury.   Five organizations have set-up shop in the office space provided immediately adjacent to the Foundation’s offices and a sixth nonprofit will be moving to the office center in June.
 
Local nonprofits currently located at the Foundation’s office center are: Women Supporting Women; the Del-Mar-Va Council Boy Scouts of America; the Delmarva Water Transport Committee; the Maryland Mentoring Partnership; Delmarva Low Impact Tourism Experiences.   Moving into the Nonprofit Office Center next month will be the Delmarva Education Foundation.
 
Following the ribbon cutting, Business After Hour guests toured the new nonprofit office center.  During the Business After Hours event the Foundation presented a “Community Service Award” to First Shore Federal Savings and Loan to recognized their outstanding philanthropic support for charitable causes and nonprofit organizations on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore.
