What Others Say:
There must be a lot of people like me in the community. You don't have to have a lot of money to enjoy the rewards of philanthropy. By planning today for my personal finances and my charitable giving, I can enjoy the money I have. And best of all, I feel just like Bill Gates.

Partners In Nursing Celebrates National Nurses Week
May 1, 2008
The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) and the Partners in Nursing Program (PIN) are joining area organizations in celebrating National Nurses Week (May 6-12).
To kick off National Nurses Week, the Partners in Nursing Program will be giving away tickets for the May 5th Delmarva Shorebirds’ home game at 7 p.m. at Perdue Stadium. The first 100 RN’s, LPN’s, and nursing students that show valid ID will be given a free ticket to the game. Look for the PIN table and banner at the stadium entrance to obtain your free ticket.
The purpose of Nurses Week is to highlight the value of nursing and help educate the public about the role nurses play in meeting the health care needs of the American people.
In honor of the dedication, commitment, and tireless effort of the nearly 2.9 million nurses nationwide to promote and maintain the health of this nation, PIN is proud to recognize nurses everywhere on this particular day for the quality work they provide seven days a week, 365 days a year.
On National Nurses Day, May 6th, all nurses are encouraged to proudly wear their nurses’ uniform or nursing school pin, or any other pin, that clearly identifies them as nurses.
The goal of the PIN Program is to address the critical retention issue with first-time nurses or those returning to the profession. PIN supports the development of nurse leaders while placing current nurses and faculty in rewarding leadership roles. PIN is one of 10 original grantees partially funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Northwest Health Foundation.
