What Others Say:
My objective is to make a difference in the life of a few students and their families. Working with the scholarship fund, the Community Foundation, and the fund's scholarship selection committee has been a rewarding experience, the best part of which is knowing that the program will continue in perpetuity.

Nonprofits to Learn How to Strengthen Donor Base
January 28, 2010
Lower Shore nonprofit organizations will have an opportunity to learn tips on how to strengthen their donor base at a workshop sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore on Wednesday, Feb. 17th at the Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Center in Salisbury.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and led by local consultant Lois Colaprete, who has over 15 years of donor development and fundraising research experience. Registration is $10 per person, but advanced registration is required on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be provided.
The purpose of the training is to offer ideas on simple and affordable ways to incorporate effective fundraising practices into the smallest non-profit organization. The training session will focus on two aspects of donor development; strengthening the relationship with those who already give to your organization, and identifying those individuals, companies and foundations who may want to contribute.
This is one of a series of training sessions offered by the Community Foundation that are sponsored by PNC Bank. Anyone wishing to register for the “Strengthening Your Donor Base” workshop should contact the Foundation at 410-742-9911, or visit www.cfes.org.
