Nonprofit Training & Networking Sessions Announced
February 6, 2008
The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore has announced training opportunities that are available for local nonprofit staff and CEOs during Spring 2008.
 
Registrations are now being accepted from staff members of nonprofit organizations in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester County for:
  • Grant Proposal Budgeting Basics - Wednesday, February 13th from 9 to 10:30 am
  • Introduction to the Foundation Directory Online – May 7th from 9 to 10 am

Both seminars are free, but registration is required as space is limited.  These programs are offered in partnership with the Foundation Center’s Cooperating Collection, located in the Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Resource Center.  Through this collection, nonprofit organizations have access to a variety of print materials as well as the Foundation Directory Online, with access to over 92,000 grantmakers nationwide.

 
            The Community Foundation is also pleased to announce its Nonprofit CEO Networking Lunches to provide local nonprofit leaders with an opportunity to join colleagues to learn what others are doing and identify opportunities for collaboration.  Advance registration is required and space is limited for the following lunches:
  • February 20th – Double Your Donations
  • March 19th – Keys to Developing an Effective Board
  • April 16th – Marketing – What Works for Your Organization
  • May 21st – Media Relations Panel
These events are offered through the Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Program.  The program is focused on providing services and resources to enhance the capacity of nonprofit organizations in the region through technical assistance, professional development, and continuing education.
