National Nursing Expert to Address Shore Nurses

Shelley Cohen RB, BS, CEN, a nationally known author, consultant and speaker on nursing and health issues, will be the featured speaker at a dinner seminar for nurses at
Peninsula
Regional
Medical
Center ’s
Hallowell
Conference
Center Thursday, October 8th from 5-9 p.m.
This special program is sponsored by the Community Foundation of the
Eastern Shore ’s Partner In Nursing (PIN) Program and is open to all local nurses. A $15 registration fee includes dinner. Program and registration information is available online at www.cfes.org.
The program, which is titled, Stop the Horizontal Violence: Creating a Mentoring Workplace, will focus on the challenges nurses face and the need to encourage and support the next generation of nurses. Cohen will provide practical advice on how nursing professionals on the front line can work together to enhance their services for the benefit of all.
"Our local nurses are priceless in maintaining a high quality of care for patients here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland," said Spicer Bell, president of Community Foundation. "We are honored to be able to support nurses through PIN and look forward to Shelley’s visit."
