Foundaton Honors Del. Conway for Community Service

Del. Norman Conway was presented with a "Community Service Award" from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore was presented to Del. Norman Conway as an outstanding example of an individual for whom public service and volunteering have been a way of life.
The Community Foundation of the
Eastern Shore recently honored Del. Norman Conway with the presentation a Community Service Award recognizing him as an outstanding example of an individual for whom public service and volunteering have been a way of life.
The award was made during ribbon cutting ceremonies on October 14th that celebrated the official opening of the new home of the
ShoreCAN
Volunteer
Center at the Community Foundation.
“It is an honor to present this Community Service Award to Norman Conway,” said Spicer Bell, CFES President. “Norm is an excellent example of what being a dedicated volunteer is all about. He has a lifetime of achievement in volunteering and serving others from his support and work for nonprofits, community service organizations and through public service.”

Bell noted. “But given the Foundation’s interest in education, I’d particularly like to cite Norm’s support of education. Not only was he a member of the committee that first developed the
Thornton funding model for the state, but he has consistently supported education funding in his committee position.”
