Foundation seeks Excellence In Education grant applications
May 19, 2008
All public and private schools on
Maryland ’s Lower Eastern Shore are eligible to apply for up to $30,000 in grants from the Community Foundation of the
Eastern Shore ’s Excellence in Education Grants Program. All applications must be submitted by September 5th to be considered for Foundation education awards.
Individual grant amounts will likely range from $500 to $5000 and will support public and private schools in the counties of
Somerset , Wicomico and
Worcester . Grants will be awarded to those schools that demonstrate, through innovative and creative programs, a particularly meritorious concern for their students and their communities.
The Community Foundation also will award an Educational Leadership Award to recognize principals, vice principals and other educational leaders who have made outstanding, sustained and unselfish contributions to their school and its students, faculty and community. The deadline for nominations for the Educational Leadership Award is September 19th.
