What Others Say:
Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the Community Foundation room we used for our Infant Adoption Training. The presenter remarked how nice it was to use state of the art equipment for her presentation and the attendees were pleased with the accommodations. Thanks for everything.

Foundation Sponsors Training To Teach Boards Fundraising
February 10, 2009
Local charities and nonprofits will learn about ways to increase their board members’ willingness and effectiveness in helping to raise financial resources for their organizations during an interactive workshop on Thursday, February 26 at the Community Foundation’s
Nonprofit
Support
Center in
Salisbury .
The workshop will be held from 12:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Registration is $25 per person and is capped at 20 persons. Organizations are strongly encouraged to send two representatives; at least one should be a board member. Advanced registration is required on a first-come, first-served basis.
Training at the workshop will focus on the obvious and not-so-obvious obstacles to board member fundraising and how to overcome them. Participants will leave with examples and a realistic to-do list and exercises they can do with their boards to get more engaged in fund raising.
This is one of a series of training sessions offered by the Community Foundation that are sponsored by PNC Bank.
