Foundation Hosts Nonprofit Workshops in March
March 8, 2010
Lower Shore nonprofit organizations will have an opportunity to enhance their effectiveness in two ways through separate workshops that will be hosted at the Community Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Center in Salisbury during March.
A PAC 14 Video Lunch and Learn Workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to enable local nonprofits to learn how to produce their own shows for PAC 14 TV in Wicomico County.
Craig Twilley, PAC 14 production manager, will inform participants of everything that is needed to get a show on the air, from working the camera equipment, to lighting and framing a shot and much more. Registration is free, but advanced sign-up is required. Participants must bring their own lunch.
A second workshop will give new or prospective board members training to help them serve local nonprofit organizations more effectively. Participants will learn the basic roles and responsibilities of nonprofit board members at a workshop on Wednesday, March 24th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Center in Salisbury. Registration is free, but advanced sign-up is required. A light dinner will be provided.
The March workshops are part of a series of training sessions offered by the Community Foundation that are sponsored by PNC Bank. Anyone wishing to register for either of the March workshops should contact the Foundation at 410-742-9911, or visit www.cfes.org.
