What Others Say:
There must be a lot of people like me in the community. You don't have to have a lot of money to enjoy the rewards of philanthropy. By planning today for my personal finances and my charitable giving, I can enjoy the money I have. And best of all, I feel just like Bill Gates.

The Cricket Center is the child advocacy organization for Worcester County.  Led by the Worcester County Department of Social Services, the Cricket Center provides a comprehensive approach to children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse.  Other partners include child protection workers, medical and mental health professionals, local law enforcement, Life Crisis, Inc., and the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Though a collaborative team response the Cricket Center enhances the investigative process, facilitates the prosecution of those who commit these crimes in Worcester County, and minimizes the trauma for child abuse victims.  The Center also works to prevent further victimization and promotes emotional healing for the child victim and the family.

A permanent facility for the Cricket Center will be based in the new Atlantic General Health Center now under construction on the campus of Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. The new Cricket Center will be opening in May 2009.
