Community Foundation Seeks Applications for Education Grants
Lower Shore Schools May Apply for Grants up to $5,000
April 27, 2011
All public and private schools on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore are eligible to apply for up to $40,000 in grants from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s 2011 Education Grants Program. All applications must be submitted by September 2nd to be considered for Foundation education awards.

Individual grant amounts will likely range from $500 to $5000 and will support public and private schools in the counties of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester.  Grants will be awarded to those schools that demonstrate, through innovative and creative programs, a particularly meritorious concern for their students and their communities.

Grants will be awarded during American Education Week in November.  Grant guidelines and applications are available on the Foundation’s website at www.cfes.org.  Copies of grant guidelines and application forms are also available upon request by calling 410-742-9911 or by writing to the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Inc., 1324 Belmont Avenue, Suite 401, Salisbury, Maryland 21804.
