Community Foundation Recognizes Past Board Members at Annual Luncheon

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore recognized past board members at an annual luncheon at the Foundation’s Nonprofit Support Center in Salisbury.
This year, nine former board members who served in several capacities with the Foundation, including board committee representation, gathered to enjoy lunch and to hear an update on the Foundation’s recent activities from Spicer Bell, President, Community Foundation. Past board members who attended were: Mike Abercrombie, Robert Cook, Tom Hershey, Karen Lischick, Sue Morris, Joe Ollinger, Jan Perdue, Tony Sarbanes and Greg Stein.
“We enjoy taking the time to recognize the vital contributions our past board members make in initiating key community partnerships and to let them know that without their support, the Community Foundation would not be the strong organization that it is today,” said Spicer Bell, President, Community Foundation.
Community Foundation Board Chair, Don Taylor, reiterates the importance of the collaboration between the past board members and the Foundation. “Past board members are in a great position to be able to promote philanthropy that helps our entire region. It is a relationship that we value and want to take the time each year to show our appreciation.”
