Avery Hall Insurance Donates to Help Your Neighbor Fund
April 26, 2011
The Community
Foundation of the Eastern Shore announced today that Avery Hall Insurance has donated
$250 to the Community Foundation’s “Help Your Neighbor Fund.”
The Fund provides financial assistance
to organizations serving families and seniors in Somerset, Wicomico, and
Worcester Counties who need assistance paying utility bills, purchasing food
and medical prescriptions. Grants
have been awarded to local nonprofit organizations such as the Christian
Shelter, Seton Center and Worcester G.O.L.D.
The “Help Your Neighbor”
fund was started by the Community Foundation in response to the dramatically
increasing need for assistance required by local families and seniors as a
result of the downturn in the economy.
Since its inception in 2008,
the “Help Your Neighbor” fund has provided more than $57,000 to assist hundreds
of local families.
More grants are pending based on the availability of money
in the “Help Your Neighbor” Fund.
Please consider making a
donation today to the “Help Your Neighbor” Fund by visiting the Community
Foundation’s website at www.cfes.org, or calling the Foundation at
410-742-9911.
