What Others Say:
I feel that the foundation has helped my organization in the past. If it was not for the grants we received the progress we have made would have not happened.

“Artistic Perspectives on Nature.” An Exhibition of the Gallery of Artists
June 2, 2011

The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in collaboration with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore presents an exhibition of The Gallery of Artists July 8-10, 2011. The Gallery of Artists,
a collaborative group of award-winning wildlife artists diverse in
medium and unique in style, will join together in an intimate setting to
celebrate and make available for purchase its collection of art at
their exhibit entitled “Artistic Perspectives on Nature.”
The Gallery of Artists
embodies over 150 years of creating nature and wildlife art that has
graced numerous museums, galleries, exhibitions, businesses and homes
all over the world. Skillfully represented in this exhibition are oil
paintings, stone sculpture, photography, etchings, watercolors, bronze
sculpture, pyrography, graphite, acrylics, and miniature paintings.
Separately, each artist draws from personal experience to leave a
distinctive imprint on each of his or her pieces. Together they are
driven by the culmination of their artistic and life experiences and
ability to communicate with one impassioned collective voice.
“Artistic Perspectives on Nature”
will be on exhibit and sale for three days only, with proceeds going to
fund the worthy programs at The Ward Museum and to support the Fund for
the Environment at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
Saturday
and Sunday the public are invited to explore the Ward Museum’s LaMay
gallery to see the showcase of artwork. Additionally, artists will also
offer throughout the weekend live presentations and demonstrations
illustrating their process and technique in producing their art. These
demonstrations include the art of pyrography, bronze and stone
sculpture, painting, photography, and etching.
