What Others Say:
My objective is to make a difference in the life of a few students and their families. Working with the scholarship fund, the Community Foundation, and the fund's scholarship selection committee has been a rewarding experience, the best part of which is knowing that the program will continue in perpetuity.

Lower Shore schools may apply for $40,000 in potential grants
August 2, 2010

All public and private schools on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore are eligible to apply for up to $40,000 in grants from the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s Education Awards Grant Program. All applications must be received by Friday, September 3rd to be considered for Foundation education awards.

Individual grant amounts will likely range from $500 to $5000 and will support public and private schools in the counties of Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester.  Grants will be awarded to those schools that demonstrate creativity and innovation through programs designed to enhance the educational experience for students.

Grants will be awarded during American Education Week in November.  Copies of grant guidelines and application forms are available upon request on the Foundation’s website: www.cfes.org.
