WHAT OTHERS SAY

CFES is a great resource in many, many ways for our organization.

Planned Giving

Some of the most significant and far-reaching gifts made to charitable giving are through “Planned Giving.” This type of gift allows donors to planned their charitable gift during their lifetime, but defer the actual transfer of assets to the Community Foundation until after their passing.

Donors identify the charitable causes they wish to benefit from gifts from their estate and make arrangements to ensure their wishes are fulfilled through arrangements made with their legal and financial advisors and the Community Foundation.

The most common planned gifts are made through a bequest in an individual donor’s will. Many bequests are made to the Community Foundation to benefit one or more nonprofit organizations with a gift to an existing or new endowed fund specifically established for this purpose.
