Community Needs Assessment

The Community Foundation has partnered with the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore in conducting an ongoing regional needs assessment. The purpose of this joint venture is to provide current data on the needs, challenges and opportunities facing this region. Most recently, CFES and UW partnered with BEACON at Salisbury University to conduct a survey of key informants/community leaders and a review of existing data. To provide insight into the primary needs in the area, analysis from BEACON will provide a greater understanding of the potential “gap” between current needs and efforts to address those needs: prioritizing those areas where a significant community need exists and there are minimal resources or efforts to respond to that need.
