Charitable Gift Annuities
Another planned gift that is growing in popularity are “Charitable
Gift Annuities,” (CGAs). With a Charitable Gift Annuity, a donor makes a
gift to the Community Foundation and receives a guaranteed income for
life. Upon the donor’s passing, the remaining funds from their gift will
benefit the nonprofit or faith-based organizations of their choice.
Charitable Gift Annuities may be established by
individual donors directly with the Community Foundation. In addition,
those nonprofit organizations that have established nonprofit partner
endowment funds with the Foundation may also offer Charitable Gift
Annuities to their donors through the Community Foundation.
There are also other instruments available establishing
planned gifts to charity.
