Funds are offered by the Foundation?
The Community Foundation administers a variety of funds for you to consider. These may be permanent, endowed funds (which generate grantmaking dollars each year), or non-endowed funds (which do not preserve the principal).
- Donor-Advised Funds
Flexible funds that allow you to generate an immediate tax deduction and make grant recommendations later, at your convenience.
- Designated Funds
Funds designated to benefit certain charities which you pre-select.
- Field of Interest Funds
You choose a charitable subject area (for example, the arts), and the Foundation administers grants from your fund to a nonprofit in that area.
- Scholarship Funds
Helps students pursue academic goals. You may define guidelines for candidacy, the advisory committee, the school, and the award.
- Unrestricted Funds
Offer the broadest giving options, allowing grants to be made where the Foundation's Grants Committee determines the needs are the greatest.
- Agency Funds
Established by nonprofit organizations to provide income. The Foundation handles all administrative and investment responsibilities, freeing the organization to pursue its charitable mission.
