Shorebirds launch Community Fund
For the full story, click here. The Delmarva Shorebirds have established a Community Fund at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore to support charitable causes on the Lower Eastern Shore. ARE SAYING Public Radio Delmarva (WSCL/WSDL) received a $4,000 grant for strategic planning processes to guide the organization through the next 3 to 5 years and support a move to new facilities. Public Radio Delmarva's Website Cricket Center, Worcester County's Child Advocacy Center, received a $4,500 grant to increase public awareness about the nonprofit organization and its services. Cricket Center's Website Lower Shore American Red Cross Chapter received a $2,000 grant to purchase a marketing display board and carrying case for multiple uses by the nonprofit organization at events and meetings.
